A photofacial for sun spots, redness and uneven tone
Intense pulsed light targets the brown and red pigment in your skin to fade sun damage, calm redness and even out your complexion. Quick sessions; spots darken and flake off over a few days to 2 weeks.
Lumecca by InMode is an intense pulsed light (IPL) device. Each pulse of light passes into the skin and is absorbed by melanin in brown spots and by hemoglobin in small visible vessels.
That light turns into gentle heat, which breaks up excess pigment and helps fade redness while the skin around it is left intact. Lumecca puts most of its energy into the range of light that brown and red pigment absorb best, so a series of 3 sessions can leave skin looking clearer and more even.

Lumecca has two handpieces. The one used for your treatment is chosen for your skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale, which looks at your natural skin colour and how easily you burn or tan.
For very fair to fair skin that burns easily and tans very little. Fitzpatrick types I and II.
For light to medium and olive skin that tans more easily. Fitzpatrick types III and IV.
Based on the Fitzpatrick skin type scale. This is a guide only. Your skin type is confirmed at your consultation so the right handpiece and settings are used for you. Take the full skin type quiz

We assess your skin type, concerns and health history, then choose your handpiece and plan your sessions. All treatments are performed by licensed nurses under medical directive.
Your skin is double cleansed and disinfected, then a cool ultrasound gel is applied. You wear protective goggles for the whole treatment.
The handpiece is placed on the skin and delivers pulses of light. Most clients feel a quick warm snap, softened by the cooled tip.
The gel is wiped away and you go home with aftercare instructions. Brown spots darken like coffee grounds, then flake off as the skin heals over a few days to 2 weeks, depending on the person. Redness fades gradually.
